The company advertised in July 1921 that the 1/2 ton trucks were being delivered as of June. I have seen where the claim is to have made 300 light trucks, but since they declared bankruptcy and the assets were sold about a year later, I would be surprised if there were any where near that number.
I have aware that a local dairy used two of them, late into the ’40’s
The Piedmont Motor Car Company operated in Lynchburg on Hollins Mill Road where the Flowers Bakery is now located. Started by Wallace Taylor, Sr. in 1917, the company sold cars under the names Piedmont, Alsace, Lone Star and Bush.
I wonder how many of the light commercial trucks were made?
